Today is it…it’s my birthday. As an only child and general lover of all things party-related, my birthday has always been my favorite “holiday.” But this year…this year is the big 3-0.

Last Friday (3 days before the big 3-0), I had my gallbladder removed and was feeling all kinds of sorry for myself. Not only did the surgery make me feel old, but it decidedly hampered my ability to celebrate my birthday.
Somewhere in the midst of this weekend, though, I decided to stop the grousing and be positive. First, the surgery went very well and the recovery time is actually pretty short. Second, I’ll be the big 3-0 for a whole year, not just a day. So, here are my 30 things I will do to make the big 3-0 an amazing year. Note that “having an organ removed” was going to be on the list, but the scheduling got a bit messed up…

Love your list! I turned 30 back in July and just like the bf told me its not all that bad! Sounds like its going to be a pretty awesome year! Good luck!!
Happy Birthday!!!! SOrry you couldn’t celebrate last weekend but you can celebrate this weekend and the weekend after that and after that and after that.
I am a big fan of numbers 3,6,12,21,26….not a fan of 28 π
Happy 30th Birthday Jen!!! Sorry to hear about your gall bladder (I can commiserate though – that happened to me 4 years ago – it wasn’t fun, but you do recover quickly! Feel better soon!) Love your list and it looks like you’ve got a great year planned for yourself! Here’s to a new decade of life!
Happy birthday!!! I love the the year 30 bucket list…I do one every year with the same number of things as my age. I don’t think I’ve accoplished much on this year’s list though…I have a few weeks…I’ll have to get to work π
What a wonderful list! Being 30 isn’t bad at all. In fact, it’s been my favorite decade so far. Embrace it! If you accomplish everything on your list, I have a feeling it will be a great year and a great way to begin a new decade in your life.
Happy Birthday to you, and that looks like a pretty darn good list. I think it will be a good year!
I am so happy I got to see you today – thanks for stopping in the kitchen and for taking a brownie off my hands π
I’m all about helping you with this list. I would start mentioning numbers but that would take awhile…
Happy Happy Birthday Friend!!! See you Thursday!!
Glad to see that CLEgrandpa is #1 on that list! Your 30’s will be great even if you only accomplish 1/2 of it! #4 will lift your spirits more than you imagine. The most wonderful thing will happen as you make your way through your 30’s – you’ll realize that you are stronger and smarter than you ever thought possible!
I can help in the boot department!
happy belated, jenn! with that list, it will be a great year π
If you ever want to road trip to DC, lmk! I’d LOVE to share a ride and I have friends I want to see π
