It’s fall, CLE! Time for cozy sweaters and apple cider and lots of great events! Here’s a run-down of some fun things to do around town:
Emerging Chefs reformulated C4 event is happening tomorrow – Thursday, September 29 – at Light Bistro. This event features 4 fabulous chefs cooking in 4 different style: Chef Matthew Mathlage of Light Bistro, Chef Jeffrey Jarrett of AMP 150, Chef Brian Rosander of Rosander, and Chef Pete Joyce formerly of Bistro on Lincoln Park. Tickets are $90 and can be purchased by clicking here. Use discount code ECC4 to save 30% on your tickets!
The Hunger Network presents Rolling on the River, their fall gala fundraising event, on Friday, September 30 from 7:30-11:30pm at Windows on the River. DJ, dancing, casino games, food, drinks, silent auction items, and tons of fun await! Tickets are $65, but you can save $10 with discount code WhyCLE until 3pm on Thursday, September 29. Purchase tickets by clicking here.
For those John Carroll University alums (like yours truly), this coming weekend is Homecoming Weekend! There is a young alumni happy hour at Market Garden Brewery on Thursday, September 29; a mixer for fraternity and sorority alums at Jake’s Speakeasy on Friday, September 30; a 5K Run to benefit the Fatima Food Drive; and a street fair, football game, and clambake on Saturday, October 1. You can register for any or all of the events by clicking the link above.
On Sunday, October 2, Dogs Unlimited Rescue is holding a Muttsquerade Ball at Moxie from 5-9pm. There will be entertainment, food, a wine and martini bar, and a silent auction. The event is hosted by Fox 8’s Stefani Schaefer. This is a wonderful way to help an organization dedicated to finding good homes for our furry friends and also have some fun in the process. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased from the Dogs Unlimited Rescue website linked above.
Who doesn’t want to drink margaritas on a Monday for a good cause? Johnny Mango World Cafe’s charity night on Monday, October 3 will benefit the Liver Life Challenge marathon team. Members of the team are participating in the Walt Disney World half, full, or Goofy marathons in January and are raising money to benefit the Liver Life Challenge in the process. Check out the Facebook event invitation for a printable flyer to bring to Johnny Mango between 11am and 11pm on October 3. 20% of your purchases will go toward the Liver Life Challenge team.
And that just gets you to Tuesday! It’s a busy time in CLE, with tons of great events and lots of wonderful causes to support. What upcoming events are you attending?
***Disclosure: I received 2 complimentary tickets to Rolling on the River in exchange for blogging about the event. Also, I serve on the JCU Homecoming Greek outreach committee. As always, all opinions in this post are 100% my own.***
