Why? Great Big Home and Garden Show Giveaway!

With buying a new home, CLEguy and I are thinking a lot about projects and decorating around the house. It’s always fun to spruce things up or give it your own personal touch!

That’s why the Great Big Home and Garden Show at the IX Center is coming at the perfect time. From February 4-12, the IX Center will be filled with over 650 exhibitors with tips and inspiration for home improvement, gardening and more.

The show will feature events such as:

“Product Runway,” a collaboration between Architectural Justice and the Virginia Marti College of Art Design, showcasing fashion inspired by architecture.

Two Idea homes, including an eco-friendly house and a log cabin being built by Timeless Timbers at the show.

Gardens designed after classic TV shows and a gardening stage from Petitti Garden Centers.

A cooking stage featuring the Loretta Paginini School of Cooking and Chef Rocco Whalen of Fahrenheit.

Appearances by HGTV and Lifetime stars Chip Wade of “Designed to Sell” and “Curb Appeal,” Brian Beaumler of “Disaster DIY,” and Christopher Straub of “Project Runway.”

So, if you’re ready to get inspired for your next home or garden project, you need to get to the IX Center between February 4 and 12. Tickets are $14 at the door for adults, but buying your tickets online before the show will save you $3.

For an extra $1 savings, enter the Why CLE? discount code of CLE when you check out. That means your ticket is only $10! Click here to buy tickets.

I also have 2 tickets good for general admission any day of the show to give away to a lucky Why CLE? reader! The contest will run until Sunday, January 22 at 11:59pm and the winner will be announced here on Monday, January 23. Here’s how to enter:

***Disclosure: I was asked by the Great Big Home and Garden Show to promote the upcoming event at the IX Center. In exchange, I receive 2 general admission tickets for myself and 2 to give away to a reader. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***

  1. OMG, my mom and grandma and aunts go to this every year! I really want to re-do our enclosed porch this summer. It ends up being our everyday storage area instead of enjoying it for relaxing!

  2. I have no choice but to re-do my kitchen. Nothing super exciting or major, but my paint has been peeling for some time and there are some structural issues that need corrected.

I’m also attempting to “finish” all of my rooms. After 16 years in the house, it’s time to do them all over again!

Oh where to start…The first work will be to finish the garage and then hopefully move into the kitchen. The joys of home ownership!

This year I’m tackling at least two (of 3) projects that need done…
    1. New fence in the back yard
    2. New patio
    3. Build another raised veg. bed (or two…or some fancy layered beds)
