One of my blog-o-lutions for this year was to share more budget-friendly activities in CLE. That’s why I was so excited to hear about Cleveland State University’s Pack the House. CSU, along with other NCAA schools, is taking the Pack the House challenge to raise awareness of their stellar Division I women’s basketball teams.
On Saturday, January 28 at 2pm, the CSU Vikings women’s basketball team will take on Detroit. You can watch all the Division I action for only $1! That’s right, tickets to the game are only $1. The goal is to set an attendance record, as part of the Pack the House challenge. In addition to the basketball action, there will be a free Kids Zone, $1 menu items, and post-game free throws.
As if you needed more reason to check out Pack the House, a portion of all ticket sales will benefit The Gathering Place. This organization helps support people with cancer and their families through free programs and services.
You can purchase tickets online or at the Wolstein Center box office. When you purchase your tickets in either place, use code WhyCle in the promo code box (or tell the box office worker) to let CSU know you learned about Pack the House here.
CSU Pack the House is a fun, budget-friendly way to spend a Saturday afternoon, supporting not only CLE’s urban university, but women’s sports and The Gathering Place!
***Disclosure: I was asked by the Wolstein Center to participate in a contest among local bloggers to see who can “Pack the House” the most. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
