There are a lot of young professionals groups in Cleveland that provide opportunities for professional networking, socializing, and helping others. I’m honored to be a council member for one of the newest YP groups in town: the Cleveland Foodbank YP Pantry.
The mission of this group is to connect young professionals both with the Cleveland Foodbank and with each other. To join the group, you simply need to commit to 24 hours of volunteer service over the course of the year. While monetary donations are always appreciated, the Foodbank thrives with hands-on help from volunteers. Plus, rolling up your sleeves and getting involved helps you to better understand the good work the Foodbank is doing in our community.
If you’re interested in seeing what the YP Pantry group is all about, we’re holding a Volunteer Activity on Wednesday, October 24 from 6pm-8pm at the Cleveland Foodbank. You can also take a tour of the impressive Cleveland Foodbank facility at 5:30pm, if you’re interested.
Volunteering at the Foodbank usually involves repacking food to be sent out to one of the many local food pantries. It’s an easy, fun, and social way to get involved and help out. You can sign up for the Volunteer Activity here. Also, stay connected with the YP Pantry page on Facebook for more information on events in the coming months.
***Disclosure: I am a council member for the Cleveland Foodbank YP Pantry. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
