Last night, I met up with Lane, Nathan, and Julie (Matthew was out of town and so disappointed to miss out) for the Cavs-Bulls game at Quicken Loans Arena.
We weren’t just there for the NBA action, though. Key Bank sponsored A Christmas Story-themed night at the game, complete with a leg lamp bobble”head” giveaway.

Before we could get into our seats and enjoy the game, we stopped for a bite at Jonathon Sawyer’s new See Saw Pretzel Shoppe. Remember how I raved about the pretzels at The Greenhouse Tavern’s Brauhaus in a Beer Garden event? Well, See Saw pretzels are like those pretzels on steroids, rolled in deliciousness.
I ordered the German sausage sandwich, a Greenhouse Tavern Victory Brewing stout, and the jackpot pretzel bits. After getting our food, Julie and I ran into Chef Sawyer who insisted we try some of the other pretzels: the garlic Parmesan, the classic Bavarian, and the pepperoni pretzel roll (my personal favorite). Much thanks to Chef Sawyer for the fabulous sampler! It was enjoyed by our entire row! On your next trip to the Q, be sure to stop by See Saw Pretzel Shoppe!

Now to the game…there was plenty of A Christmas Story-themed action, from Moondog and the announcer dressed as pink bunnies…
…to movie clips to even the big man Santa himself!
The giveaways didn’t end last night, though! Key Bank is sponsoring A Christmas Story Night Out Sweepstakes. The grand prize is a private suite for you and 15 friends to the Cavs-Hawks game on December 28, including limo pick-up and a pre-game Asian turkey dinner at Bac Asian American Bistro and Bar, and a $500 Key Possibilities MasterCard gift card.
There will also be 10 second prize winners of a full-size leg lamp and 20 third prize winners of 2 tickets to the Cavs-Hawks game, 2 tickets the the A Christmas Story house, and a $50 Key Possibilities MasterCard gift card! Deadline to enter the sweepstakes is Saturday, December 8. Click here for an entry form.
It was a fun holiday-themed evening, although a lot of the Q Arena staff our group encountered were more like the cranky department store elves from A Christmas Story, which was unfortunate. Perhaps they were anticipating the Cavs loss? Regardless, we had a great time, some great food, and I have a new holiday knick-knack to display, perhaps right in the center of our front window. It is a major award, after all!
***Disclosure: I was asked by Key Bank to help promote the Cavs #KeyLegLamp giveaway night. In exchange, I received 4 tickets to the game. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
What an amazing evening! Soft pretzels are one of my favorite foods. If I make it up to a Cavs game I’ll definitely be making a trip to See Saw!
I want to go to a Cavs game just for the pretzels!
Hi, it’s Kathleen… the giveaway winner! We had a great time at the game despite the loss. My husband had See Saw too; he loved the pretzel wrapped hot dog. I always get Rocco’s Tacos, and they didn’t disappoint last night. Thanks again!
Is it bad that I want to go to a Cavs game only to try these pretzels?
hahahaha i just saw Crystals comment! lol
