One of my favorite spots in Cleveland in the summer is Whiskey Island. And one of the best times to check out Whiskey Island is for the Shoes and Clothes for Kids’ Luau on the Lake, happening Saturday, July 20 from 4-9pm.

This will be the 8th annual Luau on the Lake and it’s sure to be one hot party! There will be food, wine, beer, sand volleyball, a limbo contest, music, raffles, and giveaways. Last year was the biggest year ever for Luau on the Lake, with 750 attendees, and this year promises to just keep growing!

Plus, all this fun supports Shoes and Clothes for Kids, which distributes new shoes, clothing, and similar items to children from income-eligible families in Greater Cleveland. Check out this video for a look at the good work that Shoes and Clothes for Kids is doing:
Also, follow along on the Shoes and Clothes for Kids Facebook page for updates on events, volunteer activities, and more.

My favorite beach was this one on the island of Tortola. The road wasnt paved on the way to it so we had the clear blue waters to ourselves!
I follow both @MissSwiss. One of my favorite beaches by far was Malibu. California is just gorgeous! But I also enjoyed seeing my best friend get married at the beach in Edisto Island, SC.
santorini, Greece is absolutely gorgeous. but I can find happiness watching the sunset at edgewater, if I have the proper company 🙂
Hanauma Bay, Hawaii is without question my favorite beach, the snorkeling is out of this world!

My favorite beach location is Tybee Island, Ga. Nestled 20 minutes outside Savannah, its a great beach community with a lot to do and great restaurants. They also keep out chain restaurants so all dining is local. One of my favorite locations on earth.
The Galapagos in Ecuador… amazing.
