Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up on Tuesday, May 5. I’m sure we can all name at least one, if not several, teachers who have had a great impact on our lives and not just by what they taught us in the classroom. My Mom taught first grade for several years and I saw not only the impact she had on students, but how much she’d appreciate when students would reach out, even years later, to thank her.
Bruegger’s Bagels wants to help you do just that: thank a deserving teacher in your life. Personally, I reached out to one of my college professors from John Carroll University, Dr. Lauren Bowen. Dr. Bowen taught several of my political science classes and was also my academic advisor. She always challenged me, but also really listened to me. She made a huge impact on my undergrad education and we stayed in touch even after I graduated.
She is now the provost at Juniata College and commutes in between Cleveland, where her family is, and Pennsylvania. I give her so much credit for her dedication to both her profession and her family! As part of Bruegger’s Teacher Appreciation Day initiative, I sent Dr. Bowen a note and a Bruegger’s gift card, hoping that the coffee and bagels will help make the commute between Cleveland and Pennsylvania a bit easier.
It’s a small thing, especially considering the impact she had on my education, but even small gestures are worthwhile. In that spirit, Bruegger’s is offering a special deal on their Big Bagel Bundle, which includes 13 bagels and 2 tubs of cream cheese. From May 1-8, you can get the Big Bagel Bundle to thank a teacher for just $9.99. Click here to redeem this special limited offer.
Bruegger’s also wants to offer two readers the opportunity to thank a deserving teacher in their life with a $10 Bruegger’s gift card.
Here’s how to enter (you can do one, two, three, or all four entries, just leave a separate comment for each):
1. Leave a comment telling me which teacher in your life you’d thank with a Bruegger’s gift card.
4. Tweet the following phrase and leave a comment here letting me know you tweeted:
I want to thank a deserving teacher with @Brueggers and @WhyCLE: http://wp.me/p1fb9r-2lr
You can tweet once per day for additional entries, just leave a separate comment each time you tweet.
The giveaway will close on Friday, May 1 and the winners will be notified the following day. Good luck!
***Disclosure: I was asked to help promote the Bruegger’s Teacher Appreciation Day campaign. In exchange, I received a $10 gift card to give to a teacher of my choice, 2 $10 gift cards to give away, and a goodie pack of Bruegger’s coupons for myself. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
