What happened to summer?! It’s downright chilly this morning! While the weather didn’t totally cooperate this weekend, we still had a wonderful time. The main focus of the weekend was Jeffrey’s first birthday party on Saturday.
We turned our annual summer BBQ into a celebration for our little man. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by family and friends and to see everyone having such a fun time!
Of course, Jeffrey received so many fun presents, from trucks and toys to a very stylish fedora to an amazing gift of a giraffe adopted in his name at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! Way to keep the gift on point with the safari theme of the party!
The #FairyGodparents really outdid themselves with the adopted animal! This makes such a cool gift…click here to find out how you can adopt your own zoo animal for yourself or a present.
Speaking of safari theme, I was so happy with our cake from Cakes to You, which was not only tasty (I highly recommend the chocolate mousse filling), but also totally adorable.
It was such a great day all the way around! The rain didn’t dampen our spirits at all and I really think Jeffrey (and everyone else) had a fun time! Thanks to all who helped make the party so wonderful!
The rest of the weekend was spent getting ready for or cleaning up from the party for the most part, although I did enjoy some of (in my opinion) the best pizza in Cleveland from Antonio’s and also attended my first Origami Owl party.
How was your weekend?
