Why? Twilight at the Zoo!

Matthew and I have been really fortunate to become “regulars” at some of Cleveland’s coolest events. One of our favorites is the Cleveland Zoological Society‘s Twilight at the Zoo fundraiser at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Since this was my fourth Twilight at the Zoo, I thought I’d give you my top four things that I love about this event:

  1. The setting. Twilight at the Zoo offers the chance to see critters up close and get a true sense of what this fundraiser benefits. So many times at fundraisers, you aren’t literally standing in the space and seeing what your money is helping to fund. Not so at Twilight at the Zoo. What you’re supporting is all around you. And it’s pretty magnificent!

2. The VIP party. This is a very worthwhile ticket upgrade. You get access to some delicious small bites, as well as a full-service bar, a VIP band, and early entrance and reserved parking. This year’s VIP party included delicious food from Choolaah Indian BBQ, AMP 150, Sterle’s Country House, and Fresh Fork Market, among others.

3. The music. Twilight at the Zoo is known for drawing together an awesome mix of local bands from varying genres to help you rock the night away. We heard everything from 80’s and 90’s covers to swing to Irish punk as we wound our way through the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The bands are all a lot of fun, talented, and some even bring props to engage their audience.

4. The friends! Every year, we have a great time with both friends we plan to meet up with and friends we just happen to run into. Twilight at the Zoo is a huge party that draws a lively and diverse crowd, so you’re sure to have a lot of fun and see a lot of folks you know!

So, that’s why Twilight at the Zoo is one of my favorite Cleveland events. There are a ton of great upcoming events from the Cleveland Zoological Society, so check ’em out online! Have you been to Twilight at the Zoo? What do you love about it?

***Disclosure: I was asked by the Cleveland Zoological Society to help promote Twilight at the Zoo. In exchange, I received 2 complimentary VIP tickets for myself and 2 complimentary general admission tickets to give away. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
