Why? M Italian!

A couple weeks ago, I had a much-needed Mom’s Night Out at M Italian in Chagrin Falls. M Italian is part of the same restaurant group that owns Burntwood Tavern and Paco’s Tacos.

M Italian has a nice dining area, but the main focus is the large bar that snakes through the entire restaurant, as well as the enclosed patio that, thanks to heaters and a fireplace, is open year-round.

We started our meals with the bacon-wrapped dates and the spinach and artichoke dip. The spicy pomodoro sauce with the dates was yummy and really did pack a spicy punch, but we could have done with a bit less of it.

For my entree, I chose the porcini sacchetti, which had delicate pasta stuffed with mushrooms and was topped with chicken, truffle oil, and a Parmesan cream sauce.

I loved the richness of this dish. I am always a fan of big mushroom flavors and this definitely delivered on that.

My fellow diners enjoyed the carbonara and the pesto pasta dishes, which were generously portioned and drew a lot of “mmm’s” (pun intended).

For dessert, I couldn’t pass up the pot de creme, which was the perfect end to a delicious, relaxed, fun, chatty evening.

M Italian quickly rose to be an east side dining hot spot and I can see why. The menu has a good mix of pizza, paninis, pasta, and full entree dishes. For a tasty Italian meal, put M Italian on your list.
