By now, you’ve probably heard the buzz about what is sure to be the summer’s hottest foodie event: the Autism Speaks Cleveland Chef Gala.
Happening Saturday, August 6 at the Cleveland Convention Center Grand Ballroom, this event brings together a host of Cleveland’s talented chefs for an evening of delicious food to benefit Autism Speaks. The list of participating chefs includes Jonathon Sawyer, Doug Katz, Anna Harouvis, Chris Hodgson, Jeff Jarrett, John Selick and many more. Guests will enjoy small bites from these chefs during the tasting portion of the event.
Then, it’s on to the dinner portion! At the helm that evening will be hometown super star chef Michael Symon, with special guest Bobby Flay. Chefs Symon and Flay will do a live cooking demo of the dinner that guests will enjoy that evening.
It is sure to be a fabulous night of amazing culinary treats! There will also be incredible live and silent auction prizes up for bid, including the opportunity to sit and eat on stage during the cooking demo!
All of this decadent deliciousness benefits Autism Speaks, which has provided over $5.9 million in family service and research grants in Ohio alone since 2006 to benefit those with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Current statistics are that 1 in 68 children (1 in 42 boys) will be diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Autism Speaks’ contribution to research and partnership with family service providers has a huge impact already, but with statistics like these, so much more is needed!
Individual tickets and sponsorships for the Cleveland Chef Gala are now available. Individual tickets are $250 and include tastings from all the Cleveland chefs, family-style dinner service of the Chefs Symon and Flay meal, 2 drink tickets, and complimentary valet parking. Sponsorships start at $1,000 and the different benefits available are detailed here. You can sign up to become a sponsor or purchase individual tickets online.
I hope you will join me for what will be an incredible evening for an incredibly worthwhile cause!
