On Saturday night, Matthew and I attended the Veggie U Food and Wine Celebration.
The event was held at The 925 Building, formerly the Huntington Bank Building. The space is just stunning. In fact, it used to be the largest bank lobby in the world! The high ceilings, marble columns, and beautiful paintings made this a great space for a swanky event.
There were delicious small bites to nibble. Some of our favorites were the lobster nachos from Driftwood Restaurants and Catering…
…the delicious foie gras, mushroom, and beef bite from Urban Farmer…
…the farro salad from 111 Bistro (a new-to-me restaurant that I now can’t wait to visit) and the vanilla panna cotta with strawberries from Dante.
Aside from the tasty food, there were fabulous silent auction items up for bid…
…great live music from The Discovery Band…
…and all attendees could score a huge bag of fresh produce to take home.
Add in wine from Wente Vineyards and plenty of friends in attendance, too and you have a delicious evening for a wonderful cause of providing more classroom gardens for children to learn about healthy eating habits and grow their own veggies.
