A couple weeks ago, I tried a new-to-me Indian restaurant: Cafe Tandoor. My friend Melissa and I wanted to go out for Indian food in a nice, girls-night-out atmosphere. So, we landed on Cafe Tandoor and were really happy with the choice.
We started with an order of vegetable samosas, with potatoes, peas, cashews, raisins, and spices. So tasty! Little pockets of spiced happiness!
Melissa got the paneer tikka masala (tandoori-roasted paneer with onions and peppers) and I got the rogan josh (lamb curry) and we shared a side of rice.
The food was delicious: spicy, flavorful, and filling! We also couldn’t resist the garlic naan to soak up all that sauce.
This is some of the best naan I’ve ever had: so light and the perfect balance of crispy and chewy.
Cafe Tandoor is a Silver Spoon Award winner for Best Indian Food in Cleveland and it’s easy to see why. I loved everything we ate! And the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, too. We will definitely be back for another spicy girls night out meal!
Yum! I’ve never been here, but I LOVE Tandul in Tremont, my go-to for ordering dinner on lazy nights. It’s incredible!
Definitely one of the better Indian choices around town! I second the suggestion of Tandul. I’ve been dying to try Namaste.
