Addiction has been grabbing a lot of headlines lately. Recovery Resources is a non-profit that offers prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery and support services for those facing addiction. This year, Recovery Resources marks the fifth year of it’s ever-growing Run for Recovery fundraiser.
Held on Saturday, August 18 at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Recovery Resources’ Run for Recovery seeks to raise $100,000 toward this mission with a 5K run, 1.5 mile walk, and kids’ fun run. There will also be family-friendly activities surrounding the Run and free admission to the Zoo for afterwards.
You can register for Run for Recovery as an individual or a fundraising team. Registration prices are as follows:
- $30 for 5K Run
- $15 for the 1.5 mile Walk
- $15 for the Kids’ Fun Run (up to age 10)
You can also purchase additional Zoo passes at a discount for family and friends to join you after the Run for Recovery at $6 for those 12 and up and $4 for those ages 2 to 11.
You can register for the Run for Recovery online. You can also submit the name of a loved one impacted by addiction to the Run for Recovery Memorial Wall.
This is a great way to support Recovery Resources and honor those impacted by addiction, so lace up your running shoes!
