It was a relatively low-key fall weekend in CLE. On Saturday, our friends Beth and Enzo had a “gender reveal” party. Beth is pregnant and they had a party to reveal to themselves and their family and friends if they are having a boy or a girl.
It’s a BOY! Congratulations to Beth and Enzo! The party was adorable, too and straight out of Pinterest. The food was all themed around common pregnancy cravings (salty, sweet, sour, and hot). For the big reveal, Beth and Enzo popped a balloon filled with appropriately-colored confetti (the cake also had appropriate-colored filling).
Beth and I have been friends since college and it’s amazing to see all the life changes we’ve gone through and to be around for this next step on the journey!
On Sunday, Mom and I went to Beachwood Place for some fall/winter shopping. We bought way too much, especially in blacks, greys, and burgundies. I also found a couple items in my favorite luxury fabric: cashmere.
All the shopping worked up an appetite, so we stopped in to Maggiano’s Little Italy. Maggiano’s serves up huge portions of good, classic Italian food. I chose the four-cheese ravioli, which was a plateful of decadent, cheesy goodness.
For $12.95, you got your selected pasta, plus a pasta of your choice to take home for the next day. I took the mushroom ravioli al forno home to Matthew and it didn’t even make it until the next day! It’s a great deal for quite a bit of food!
For dessert, Mom and I split the apple crostada, with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. This is a perfect fall dessert and I love the light, flaky, sugary pasty of the crostada!
It was a fun afternoon on a beautiful fall day. I definitely took some extra time driving around on Sunday, too, just to enjoy the gorgeous fall colors. Autumn in Cleveland is definitely my favorite time of year!
How was your weekend? Did you get out and enjoy the fall colors?
