Why? International Children’s Theater Festival Giveaway!

***A bit of blogkeeping: Congratulations to timzaun (Comment #15), randomly-selected winner of 2 general admission tickets to the United Way of Cleveland’s Rock the Catwalk. If you didn’t win, you can still purchase tickets online.***

One of the things I love most about Playhouse Square is that there are shows and cultural experiences perfect for every age. I can remember going to see “The Nutcracker” and “A Christmas Carol” as a kid and I can’t wait to start taking Jeffrey to see live theater.

This coming weekend, May 8-10, Playhouse Square will be hosting the International Children’s Theater Festival.

The Festival will feature live children’s theater shows from around the world. But it’s not just the shows that you and your child can take in. There will be live musical performances, crafts, balloon artists, face painting, magicians, the International Imagination station, and more. And a lot of the activities are free! Plus, the shows are reasonably priced at $10-$15.

I volunteered at the International Children’s Theater Festival last year and will be volunteering again this year. I can tell you firsthand that it is a magical and fun weekend and a wonderful way to have children experience the fun of live theater and the beauty of Playhouse Square.

To help you have a magical time, I have a family four-pack of tickets to give away to a performance of Timber!

Timber! represents the country of Canada and features aerial acrobatics inspired by nature and their family farm. The whole family is sure to love this awe-inspiring and high-energy show! The tickets are for the Saturday, May 9 at 1:30pm performance of Timber!

1. Leave a comment telling me about your first theater memory.

2. Visit Playhouse Square and Why CLE? on Facebook and leave a comment here letting me know you visited both pages.

3. Follow @playhousesquare and @WhyCLE on Twitter and leave a comment here letting me know you’re following both.

I want to attend the International Children’s Theater Festival at @playhousesquare thanks to @WhyCLE: http://wp.me/p1fb9r-2m7

You can tweet once per day for additional entries, just leave a separate comment each time you tweet.

The giveaway will close on Thursday, May 7 at 11:59pm and the winner will be announced the following day. Good luck!

***Disclosure: I was asked by Playhouse Square to help promote the International Children’s Theater Festival. In exchange, I will receive 4 tickets to Timber! to give away. I declined my own tickets to Timber! due to my previous commitment to volunteering at the Festival. Also, I am a member of the board of Playhouse Square Partners. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***

My first memory theater memory was at Playhouse Square with my mother, aunt and grandmother. We went to see “A Christmas Carol” and I still remember the delicious smells of that wonderful performance!
