Why? Luca Italian Cuisine!

I am writing this still completely stuffed after a delicious dinner at Luca Italian Cuisine for Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week. Before I even discuss the amazing food or details about Restaurant Week, let’s pause to enjoy the amazing view from Luca.


Isn’t she pretty?! Even if the food wasn’t phenomenal, this view alone would be a reason to go to Luca!

Anyway, for those of you unfamiliar, Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week is happening through Sunday, February 28, with 3-course prix fixe lunches and dinners at tons of great restaurants. You can check out the complete list of participating restaurants and scope out menus here.

Restaurant Week is a super chance to check out some place new or remind yourself of an old favorite. For me, Luca was a new spot, so my friend Robin and I decided it would be a good time to give it a try. Luca’s Restaurant Week menu featured 3 courses, plus a glass of house red or white wine for $40.

I started with the caprese, which was a classic perfectly prepared.


For my entree, I chose the ravioli con arragosto, which is squid ink ravioli stuffed with lobster, topped with a tomato cream sauce with lobster and shrimp.

Luca is not kidding around. There was a ton of lobster and shrimp meat in the sauce, plus the lobster in the ravioli. Let’s just call those pillows of happiness. I cannot believe I finished the dish, but I just couldn’t resist!

For dessert, I had the tiramisu and Robin had the chocolate mousse. I have to show you pictures of both, because they were as lovely as they were tasty.

I was so impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food at Luca! I’m so glad I participated in Restaurant Week and will definitely be back to try items off the full menu too (which, by the way, is still available during Restaurant Week).
