Why? Recess on 25th!

By now, you all know I’m a proud member of Playhouse Square Partners, the young professionals group of Playhouse Square. Playhouse Square Partners is best known for putting on the annual Jump Back Ball fundraiser, but we do more than just throw a great party in February.

One of the missions of Playhouse Square Partners is to raise money for the Bus Fund, which helps subsidize transportation costs for student field trips to Playhouse Square. Getting children exposed to the arts is so important, but often transportation costs stand in the way, which is where the Bus Fund comes in. To help raise money for the Bus Fund, you are invited to a brand new FUN-draiser: Recess on 25th!

spotlight_recess25-05536ae80fOn Thursday, April 21, Partners will host a bar scavenger hunt along West 25th Street, with stops at Market Garden Brewery, Bier Markt, Nano Brew, and Townhall. Bier Markt’s happy hour goes until 7pm and Townhall has graciously offered $2 off 5 select drafts for Recess on 25th participants that night.

You will have from 6pm-8:30pm to complete your scavenger hunt report card with your classmates (a team of 4). You can sign up as a team or we can place you with a team. And it’s not a race! We want you to take your time and enjoy the evening! At the end of the event, we will announce the valedictorian team, who will win a prize from Playhouse Square.

There will also be great raffle prizes that evening from places like Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Ohio City Burrito, Great Lakes Brewing Co., and more. Raffle ticket sales (as well as your admission to the event) all benefit the Bus Fund.

Admission is only $10 per person for what is sure to be a fun evening for a great cause! I am so proud to be co-chair of the committee organizing Recess on 25th and I hope to see you there! Click here to sign up today!

***Disclosure: I am the co-chair of the Education Committee of Playhouse Square Partners. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.***
