Why? Grapes and Ale Giveaway!

As the weather gets nicer, I find myself looking ahead to all of the fun events that summer in Cleveland holds. One of my favorite ways to kick off summertime in Cleveland is at Grapes and Ale: a BBQ, wine, and beer extravaganza that is a fundraiser for Our Lady of the Wayside.

Progressive Field will once again host this fabulous evening on Friday, May 20. You’ll get to sample BBQ bites from Hot Sauce Williams, Hodge’s, Crooked River BBQ, Happy Dog, and more. Becker’s Bakery, Pierre’s Ice Cream, and Cupcake Cravings will provide sweet treats. There will also be tons of wines to sample, as well as craft beer samples available for purchase at The Corner.

General admission tickets are $50 and include unlimited wine and food samples, access to The Corner to purchase craft beer samples, a souvenir glass, entertainment by Ace Molar, and access to fabulous silent auction prizes.

You can also upgrade to VIP Majic of Wine tickets, which are $125 and include all of the above plus access to a private VIP area with featured wines and hors d’oeuvres.

You can purchase tickets online. Or you can enter to win two general admission tickets to Grapes and Ale right here! Here’s how to enter (you can do one, two, three, or all four entries, just leave a separate comment for each):

1.Leave a comment here telling me your favorite BBQ restaurant in Cleveland.

2. Visit Our Lady of the Wayside and Why CLE? on Facebook and leave a comment here letting me know you visited both pages.

3. Follow @ourladywayside on Instagram and leave a comment here letting me know you’re following.

  1. Would you believe I haven’t had any BBQ in Cleveland yet?! Looking forward to trying Mabel’s & Proper Pig, in particular. This would be a great event to hit ’em all at once!

I’ve been a proud CLE resident for 16 years and have always wanted to try Hot Sauce Williams! Very much looking forward to the event!

My favorite bbq restaurant in cleveland is mabel’s!!! I live on east 4th street so I’m pretty bias already. I haven’t really tapped into cleveland’s bbq restaurants so I’m at fault for this. I would love to branch out!
