Today you’ll probably see your social media feeds filled with women wearing red for National Wear Red Day.
This day, started by the American Heart Association, kicks off a month focused on women’s heart health and helps to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease.
But National Wear Red Day is only a part of the awareness and fundraising movement. On Friday, February 15, the Cleveland American Heart Association will host their 15th Annual Go Red for Women event.
The Go Red for Women event includes a fun and informative health expo, where you can learn more about cardiovascular disease, warning signs, prevention, and CPR. There’s also a luncheon with healthy, delicious food and inspirational speakers.
Plus, there’s the chance to put women together with a collective mission. I’ve attended this event in the past and been amazed and energized by the collective passion in the room.
This year, Go Red for Women is celebrating the 15th anniversary of this event, which is sure to be bring even more excitement to it! You can attend the Go Red for Women event, which is taking place at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown on Friday, February 15. Tickets are $250 and can be purchased online.
As someone whose family has been impacted by cardiovascular diseases in multiple ways, I am always happy to see and support the research, awareness, and life-saving mission of the American Heart Association.
I so wish I could make it to the event later this month. I’ll be in Dallas for work! (Yuckkk. Ha.)
